Shadowcrest Guest House

Great spot to spend a night or two in the Catskills. Rooms were clean, host was very courteous and comes with a basic breakfast as well. Will be back next time if I’m in the area!

I had the best time and experience at Shadowcrest!! Stayed for a music festival at Belleayre mountain and the location made things so convenient. The rooms and environment at Shadowcrest were beautiful and relaxing and Brendon was the most fun and accommodating host, fitting me into the booking schedule twice to make sure I’d be able to attend and stay with them. Also, I traveled solo for this trip and felt perfectly safe and at home here. Highly recommend!!

We might have never experienced such a pleasant stay at any Inn or hotel, while we traveled all over. Brendan is a terrific host! The rooms are gorgeous. The nature around this town is amazing. Although we were there on the days/in the season (Sun-Wed in April) that a lot of things are closed nearby: no worries, there is enough to do and see and otherwise just chill on the porch. I miss this place and little town already!

Brendan is a warm and welcoming host! We felt at home. He took the time to share great recos for local restaurants and things to do. The room was clean, comfortable and ready before check in time! This charming guest house has an excellent porch that we thoroughly enjoyed! The location is excellent. Close to route 28.

They have close to 100 five-star reviews - that says everything. The owners are SO sweet and helpful, actually useful in orienting you to the town, and just good guys. The rooms are beautiful, renovated, mid century modern meets Victorian antique vibe. I love it. The bed is super comfy. Rooms have everything you need - fridge, freezer, microwave, very clean bathroom/shower, desk area, black out curtains, etc. I got a bottle of wine down the street and they opened it for me and gave me wine glasses and plates/silverware for my take out dinner without even asking. I’ll be back here often!

It's apparently become a birthday tradition that the wife and I stay here. Lovely people, clean, quiet and they let us bring our little dog. Coffee, tea, and a couple breakfast offerings. Modern bathrooms, very thoughtful details, like the placement of lights, access to front porch, water and tea kettle in room, so comfy. The town is small but has what you need and you're so close to everything else, and all the tourist delights. Hiking and nature easily accessed, 10 out of 10. If this place were a song it would be Smooth Operator.

Our stay at Shadowcrest couldn't have been better. Room was small but very well appointed with a comfy bed, nice artwork on the walls, TV, Hot water heater and tea, etc. The bathroom was very very nice with what was probably the best shower I've ever experienced. Seriously, perfect water pressure, new fixtures, etc. Brendan the host was easily accessible by phone or text with any questions we had and he had great suggestions about what to check out around town. The town is quiet but with just enough action if you do want to go out to eat, drink, shop.

I love this B&B! Brendan and Max are such wonderful hosts, and we always felt safe and right at home. It is so sweet how they have breakfast available, and the renovations they have done on this historic home makes it shine from the inside out. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay, and we will definitely be back. One of my favorite places I have ever stayed. :) Thank you both!
